I will talk about how racial meanings get manifested in food choices and practices. I am from a family which is half Chinese and half Japanese. So I always had to face the situation where people used to mock about the dog eating Chinese people and also they commented that Japanese ate raw fish. Both the concepts are true but my food habits were similar to that of the Americans as I grew up in the States. So it is true that that there are different types of notions and concepts that people hold and they largely discriminate other people on basis of that.
